A. Account Books, 1948-1997.

Entries in the Account Books are in sequential date order.

The Account Books provide a summary of Somerset BPW receipts and expenditures, including income from fund raising activities and member dues, scholarship payments, purchases, and payments made to the State and National organizations. The financial records of the Somerset BPW were handwritten by the Treasurer in one bound volume and one disbound volume without boards. The bound volume records all the financial activities of the club from 1948 to the end of the 1975/76 club year. The disbound volume provides a record of all the transactions from several accounts between the 1976/77 club year and the final disbursement of funds in 1997. In addition to the Somerset BPW's checking account, a Scholarship account and an account listed as the 'Harvey Block' account were maintained. A separate pool of money, called the 'Green Fund', was kept as part of the checking account.
