Information received from Montgomery Livingston that the Suit he had pending with Capt. Vanderbilt would also come before the court at Washington this session, that Mr. Wheaton would defend it on his part. This is the marine suit which it seems has gone through the court of errors. Decision concerning placing the shafts in the new boat sought from Townsend and the Commodore. Report on progress of repairs of other boats. Reminder about important digging machine. Genl. Bailey promises the post office account tomorrow. Postscript,Mr. Emmet leaves New York for Washington on Wednesday. Got left hand burnt at Carson's so writing is difficult.
