Scope and Contents

Refers to favor of 28th and respectful behavior of the Company and Lynch regardless of what Mr. Fell may say. Comment upon contract for new boat and progress being made by Blosson who received it. Reference to the suit. Discussion of propriety of building new boats now with mention of Na. Colden, R.L. Stevens; discussion of the engine and the fact that Hendricks wi11 furnish the copper at the lowest possible price. Report of witnessing the operation of Mr. Freleths. (?) mud machine which in 10 minutes loaded a lighter with 16 tons of mud and which Lynch and I feel need of. Have written Hanby by Godfrey and am securing further particulars concerning the machine and its use. Members of Legislature applied for a boat and the Fly was ready but not used. Sent her to Cold Spring and back as advertised any way. Report of workers end repairs being done on the boats. Note: Under name and address on verso appears: "Mr. Godfrey".
