Scope and Contents

Refers to letter sent Rhind stating impossibility of R.L.L's. attending directors meeting this month but that Townsend might fix an agreeable period to meet W. Livingston, Rhind and Lynch. Thompson has been added to committee on accounts and will be ready to assist in examining state of our affairs since Dec. l821 Sinking fund is increasing so rapidly that we shall be able to build a new boat without exhausting that fund. Have employed Oakley to attend the suit in District Court and he will be prepared to argue the great constitutional question before the Supreme Court of the United States.
