Resolution adopted at meeting 8th May, that Mr. Townsend be authorized to settle Capt. Schuylers account for damages sustained by Richmond intentionally running foul of his vessel to avoid greater danger from a vessel under way and also to compromise with Mr. Dennison for a sum not exceeding $50. Fire Fly will be ready this week. Comment on note that is due, dividends, negotiations for a loan, new certificates of stock. Discussion of manner by which Mr. Colden is not returned for Congress with request that one of the men be sent to the Clerks Office to take facsimiles of returns. Rumor to effect that the owners of the United States are seeking to employ their boat with Mr. Gibbons in a line to Brunswick.
