Refers to interview with Vice President who inquired for Albany friends. Discussion of a draft which the Vice President thought had been met through Shepherd and Boyd but which he agrees to pay since debt remains. Comment on Rhind's conduct in ostensibly making arrangements with James for purchase of bread &c., securing prices and terms, and then giving contract to his neighbor.
