Scope and Contents
Report on copper needed for Chancellor and work on Richmond almost completed. Confidential report of expected opposition made to effect that Montgomery Livingston and his father are bargaining for opposite side of our wharf to make a junction of lines, but wharf had been hired to Melick for a specific purpose and he would not release it. Discovered frame of a steamboat rapidly putting up in Bergh's yard, to use padelles instead of wheels. Suspect Allaire interested and Hoffman, Melick, Griffith end Douglass concerned. Had snowfall of twelve to fifteen inches. P.S. Order received from corporation for wood.
