Scope and Contents
This event was recorded and held on April 4, 1998 at the Freeholders Meeting Room of the Somerset County Courthouse. Moderated by Somerset County Cultural Diversity Coalition President Barbara Sussman Goldberg and Race Relations Chairman Judge Sue Pai Yang, the event featured music and dialogue "promoting our differences." This was the first sponsored event by SCCDC as a part of Race Relations Dialogue month. Featured in the video are Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders member Denise Coyle, who read a proclamation from the Freeholders (located within the collection), other community leaders including local mayors, and children who spoke about their cultural differences with their friends and the importance of understanding diversity. There are three copies of this videotape. Run time: Approximately 2 hours.
