Scope and Contents

Summary: Publications produced by the Mohegan Modern School staff and students. Documents the activities of the students of the Modern School and relates to the emphasis on creative expression that was a core component of Modern School education. Included in these publications are three issues of Open Pages (1932 and undated) and two issues of another literary magazine produced and distributed by the students containing poetry, prose, linocuts, and music.

Additional material found in this series documents the principles and educational history of the Mohegan Modern School in bound pamphlets issued by the teaching staff. Also included in the records are playbills and clippings related to the Children's Playhouse, the Mohegan Players, and the Mohegan Colony Youth Group, three different youth theater groups.
