Employee Newsletters

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Summary: Newsletters, mainly quarterly, published by Lenox, Incorporated, its subsidiaries, and later owner Brown-Forman.

Employee Newsletters: Arranged alphabetically by title; thereunder chronologically by issue date.

Newsletters published by Lenox, Incorporated, and Brown-Forman, spanning from 1952 to 2003, for distribution to employees. The newsletters typically include human resources information, such as recreation league information, birthdays and retirements, as well as features on corporate structure, individual employees and administrators, and special projects, such as the Reagan White House china.

Several of the titles have a specific topical focus, including: Changing Patterns, which focuses on corporate news and product lines, but does not include human resource notices; Total Quality Lenox, which focuses on Lenox's implementation of the Total Quality Management strategy; and At the Table With Lenox Brands, which focuses on corporate publicity efforts.

Several titles were produced for specific constituencies, including: Lenox Today, which was published for Lawrenceville workers; The Lenox Artisan, which was produced for Pomona workers; The Lenox Newsletter, which was distributed to district sales managers and discusses sales issues such as publicity efforts and sales training, as well as including occasional ad copies; Retail Detail, which was published for members of the merchandising division; and Brown Forum, which was published for employees of Brown-Forman.

Customer Newsletters: Arranged alphabetically by title; thereunder chronologically by issue date.

Two newsletters, Collectors' Connection and Gold Club, spanning from 1995 to 1998, published by Lenox for distribution to members of the "Lenox Laurels" and "Gold Club" collectors clubs, the latter of which was associated with the Lenox Collections division. The newsletters highlight new products, artists and club members, as well as feature classified ads for Lenox pieces.

A fragmentary copy of a similar title, Lenox Privilege, is also included.
