Scope and Contents

Summary: Blueprints and renderings of various Lenox facilities. The drawings cover production facilities in Trenton and Pomona, New Jersey, the corporate headquarters in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, the crystal production facility in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and the floor plan for a Lenox museum at Lenox corporate headquarters in Lawrenceville, in addition to Lenox First Retail stores and department store installations. Included in the series are blueprints, color and black-and-white renderings and photostatic reproductions. The blueprints in this series that depict Lenox first quality retail stores and boutique stores (such as the Lenox displays at Bloomingdales) are entirely the work of the Princeton architectural firm Michael Graves and Associates.

Among the drawings in this sub-series is a property map of the Trenton facilities from 1909. Also among the drawings is a floor plan for the Lenox Centennial Exhibit held at the New Jersey State Museum in 1989.

Included among the architectural drawings are plans, parts lists and operating instructions for a twin puller type circular kiln propeller (originally constructed in Trenton and moved to Pomona between 1963 and 1965) and the blueprints for a circular, direct fired tunnel bisque kiln (constructed at Pomona between 1955 and 1957).
