Summary: Annual reports to the stockholders of Lenox, Incorporated, and of later Lenox owner, the Brown-Forman Corporation. Included are annual reports to stockholders and, occasionally, annual reports to employees, copies of the Notice of Annual Meeting of Stockholders, supplements such as consolidated statements of earnings and quarterly reports to shareholders, proxy slips and occasionally related press releases. Beginning with 1982, the series is comprised of Brown-Forman Corporation annual reports, with the final Lenox, Incorporated, annual report appearing the same year.

Among the annual reports issued to stockholders are three copies submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission, dating from 1984, 1985 and 1988. Numerous other annual reports are signed by Lenox's auditor, Touche Ross and Co.

Consolidated statements of earnings, succeeded by quarterly reports to stockholders, exist for Lenox, Incorporated, from 1973 until 1981, and for Brown-Forman from 1991 to 1993. Annual reports to employees exist for 1970, 1973 and 1976. Included with the 1976 annual report for Lenox, Incorporated, is a ballot and literature regarding the certification of election of corporate officers.

Annual reports for Lenox, Incorporated, are dated according to the beginning of the fiscal year (e.g., the 1972 annual report would have been issued at the annual meeting in spring of 1973, and thus corresponds to a Notice of Annual Meeting of Stockholders letter dated 1973), while Brown-Forman annual reports are dated according to the closing of the fiscal year (e.g. the 1985 annual report would have been issued at the annual meeting in the spring of 1985, and thus corresponds to a Notice of Annual Meeting of Stockholders of the same year).
