ADMINISTRATIVE FILES: Congressional Delegations ["CODELs"], 1983-2012 with gaps

Dates

  • 1983-2012 with gaps

Scope and Contents

Summary: Congressional Delegations, or CODELs, were international, usually bi-partisan trips that were led by a Member of Congress (Senator or Representative). During these trips, Lautenberg and other members of Congress would have meetings with international dignitaries, visit sites of cultural or legal importance, and gather information to use in drafting legislation. Within these files are photographs from the trips, briefing books, schedules, and notes from both Lautenberg and his staffers. Date ranges on the folders reference the dates of the trips, but some materials were created and/or printed slightly before or after the date ranges listed.
