Scope and Contents

Summary: Committee and Congressional Records are a component of Lautenberg's legislative work. Congressional Records include files, such as "Congressional Record Statements" and "Congressional Record Summaries," which may or may not include issues of the Congressional Record, the official record released by the U.S. Government Publishing Office of the proceedings of the U.S. Congress. The Committee Records reflect Lautenberg's work on various committees and subcommittees, including documents regarding hearings, floor statements, meetings, bill markups, notes, and other records.

If issues of the Congressional Record had office notes, they are included in the Subject Files. Additional Committee and Congressional Records materials appear in the Subject Files as well, if they had research and notes on or attached to them.
