Summary: The majority of the photographs in Artwork document Remington's early paintings and drawings, as well as her prints from the 1960s and 1970s. Remington's work shifted from painting to print making after her trip to Japan, and was most likely influenced by the ability to produce and provide galleries with multiple works. Nearly all of the photographs are black-and-white images.

Photographs within Personal provide an intimate look into Remington's personal life. Photographs from her time as a student in San Francisco show Remington as a vivid and fiesty beauty. Images from Japan show her host family and friends. Included in the subseries are photographs of Remington's mother, given to her by her uncle. Figures of note include: Jay DeFeo and Bernice Bing.
