Scope and Contents
Summary: Tamara Drasin's records primarily document her career and death. Also included are some notes written by Tamara, dialogue from one of her radio performances, and a script written by her husband. Peter Warren's article on Tamara from The Roosevelt Bulletin is also included in this series.
Boris Drasin's historical documents include a speech given at the Tripod Factory in Jersey Homesteads shortly after its opening. Other documents discuss his role in the cooperative factory. Historical documents pertaining to Lee Drasin include a brief history of his family in a claim he submitted to be buried in the Jersey Homesteads cemetery.
Documents pertaining to Jersey Homesteads contain information about the town's cooperative functions. Included are the "By-Laws of Jersey Homesteads Settlers Association," "Certificate of Incorporation of Jersey Homesteads, Inc.," "Certificate of Incorporation of Jersey Homesteads Settlers Protective Association," and the "Declaration of Principles of the Workers Aim Cooperative Association, Inc." Also included are photographs of the Tripod coat factory, borough council meetings, and Homesteads workers. This series also contains a zone map of Roosevelt from 1946, town bulletins, and applications to live in the Jersey Homesteads community.
