VENICE
Scope and Contents
Summary: In this series are 49 collagraphs and one etching depicting Venetian scenes and architecture and characters associated with the Venice Carnival. Many of the architectural examples are repeated in several prints and also overlap or overlay each other in a single print. These are generally large pieces, with some housed in fourteen folders in a large flat box and the remainder are oversized and housed in two folders in a Map Case Drawer. Several works are in each folder, separated and protected by interleaving paper. Arrangement is by title of work. Each work is further designated with a Rutgers identifying Ross number that indicates box, folder, and unique item number. Reference is made to related works in many cases, as well as to collage plates or woodblocks in the library collection. Measurements are of the paper size, unless otherwise noted, and are height x width in centimeters.
