Scope and Contents
Robert Baris is the proprietor of Wind & Harlot Press, a private press in Shaker Heights, Ohio. His first miniature book, however, was published in Columbia, South Carolina. Baris designs, sets the type, letterpress prints, and binds his books. Bonnie Baris, his wife, illustrated several of these books, as well as creating Dance Words with her manuscript calligraphy. Robert Baris began his printing activities while a college student under the tutelage of J. Hill Hamon (Whippoorwill Press). (Bradbury 323)
