William Lewis Washburn’s miniature book publishing was done in New Jersey spanning the period from 1929- 1942. Washburn was a commercial printer who published his first two miniature books in 1879 and 1880 as a teenager. Fifty years passed before he published [again]… A characteristic of Washburn’s miniature books is their presentation in a cardboard box with a printed label.
