Scope and Contents
Clif and Lois Rather were the proprietors of the Rather Press in Oakland, California. They started printing when Clif retired and bought a 10x15 Chandler & Price press in 1971. Most of the Rather books were full-size often pertaining to California history. Glen Dawson urged the Rathers to publish a miniature book. (Bradbury 229)
