Summary:This series includes notes and materials from calligraphy and italics courses Fran taught, illumination instructions, copies of her Drawing Guide with Fran Manola without Pain, letter flash cards, and course proposals and schedules. The series is arranged by box, then alphabetically by folder title. The material is housed in manuscript boxes (Box 9). Housed separately in an oversized box (Box 2) is the original of an instruction sheet for using the Ames Lettering Guide. A photocopy of those instructions is in Box 9, Folder 3.
