Scope and Contents

Suite of 26 unbound original lithographs printed on 13 leaves illustrating the 150th Psalm from the Old Testament, each lithograph with facing calligraphy in black and yellow. These signatures are a miniature version of the work that was originally published posthumously in large format by the Kennedy Graphics Division of the Kennedy Galleries in 1970 (for the copy in the Rutgers University Libraries, see Oversized Rare Books, ND 3357.S53 1970). As received, multiple copies of each leaf were wrapped in paper, with sequential identifying notations: "X-30 2/19/88, 49" through "X-42 2/19/88, 49". One leaf, unidentified, may the "X-37" leaf. Three copies of each leaf were retained. Photocopies of the identifying wrappers are included in the folders. Folders and contents follow: Folder 1 (X30 - X31), Folder 2 (X32 – X33), Folder 3 (X34 – X35), Folder 4 (X36 - unlabeled), Folder 5 (X38 – X39), Folder 6 (X40 – X 41), Folder 7 (X42). In addition, photocopies of the leaves have been made. Folder 8 contains a set of double-sided photocopies of the sheets with reference to the location of each the large 1970 edition. Folder 9 contains one-sided photocopies of the front and back of each leaf.
