Scope and Contents
Summary:Series comprises 37 items. These include architectural drawings, designs, drafts, plans, and sketches in gouache or watercolor, graphite, ink and pastel, as well as brown line plans. Many are also outlines with small holes (pounce) and rubbed with chalk or graphite. Identified drawings are architectural drawings for his work at Temple Beth Zion and sketches for his painting Liberation. Most items are untitled and are arranged broadly by size. Drawings are found in Boxes 1-4, and in an oversized Drawer. For many of the large and unwieldy works, digital images are available, subject to copyright restrictions. A number of works are not accessible by researchers due to their fragile condition, and digital images are available for these works, again, subject to copyright restrictions. Digital images have also been printed and can be found in Box 1, Folders 11-12 (Printed Images of Digitized Drawings). These prints are not included in the item count above.
