DRAWINGS AND PRINTS

Summary: This series consists of 52 drawings and prints and one sketchbook of ink drawings. The bulk of the series is a collection of 46 drawings of people riding the New York subways, entitled Subway. The series also includes other drawings and a sketchbook, as well as four etchings. Dates and supplemental titles were provided by the artist’s family, with the exception of the date for The Thicket, which was found on the website for the Old Print Shop, cited above. Arrangement in this listing is by title of work. The artist’s family provided supplemental titles for two drawings, Cityscape 11 and Cityscape 12. The artist wrote the title and an inventory number on each piece. Each work is further designated with a Rutgers identifying Blaustein number. Photo images of these works are in Box 1, Folders 2 and 3. Measurements are height x width to the nearest .5 centimeter.
