Scope and Contents

Summary: Editorial Cartoons (Arranged by artist and thereunder alphabetically by title or topic): Editorial cartoons addressing political issues, during and after the Byrne governorship, that were drawn by various artists, including Bil Canfield. The cartoons pertain to several issues, including the income tax, the Meadowlands Sports Complex and general problems facing the State of New Jersey.

Artwork (Arranged by type of work and thereunder alphabetically by artist): Sketched and painted portraits of Brendan Byrne created by various artists, including Bil Canfield, A. Domanski and Bernie Hubert. Present, in addition to the portraits, are an artist's rendition of the Essex Troop of the National Guard, a sketch of a building at Seton Hall University and a cover for the 1982 Governor's Annual Message to the Legislature.

Included among the portraits is a single caricature. Also included is a portrait of Francis A. Byrne.
