Summary: Correspondence and other documents pertaining attempts by the economic planning committee to find employment for borough residents after the failure of the cooperatives. Also includes material about the economic history of the community.

Types of documents include correspondence, fact sheets, memoranda, reports and proposals. Specific items of interest include a February 1940 memorandum and report to the Federal Government suggesting the transfer of the project to the settlers, and two copies of Department of the Interior press releases announcing the Jersey Homesteads project (1933 & 1935).
