Scope and Contents

Summary:Photocopies of selected items from the Alfred Kastner Papers at the American Heritage Center relating to the design of Roosevelt. Includes photographs of houses in Jersey Homesteads; the Weekly Drafting Report, 1935-36 and Daily Log, 1936-37, kept by Assistant Principal Architect Louis Kahn, who was in charge of the drafting room in Washington, D.C.; miscellaneous reports, notes, diagrams, budgets and correspondence between Kastner and Kahn; as well as part of a manuscript written by Kastner circa 1973 about the history of cooperative housing projects.
