Scope and Contents

Summary:Publications of the Roosevelt school district which consists of one school, the Roosevelt Public School, which holds grades K-6, formerly K-8.

Includes the Roosevelt Public School Yearbook (1956-1987/88), produced by the graduating class (this series includes three facsimiles); the Roosevelt Dragon, (1993) a monthly newsletter published during the school year, Commencement Programs (1960-1993); the Parent & Student Reference Guide (1990/91; 1994/94); and Evaluations of Education and Safety Facilities (1978- 79).

The inspector found significant deficiencies in the school facilities, commenting that it was too small, didn't meet building codes, and questioned whether such a small school was viable. An addition to the school was built in 1995, funded by a 1992 bond issue. This series also includes Proposed School Budgets (1987-95) which were distributed for voters' information, and a few programs and invitations to miscellaneous events that were sponsored by the school.
