Scope and Contents

Summary: Files of Bruce B. Maguire, father of Andrew Maguire and a retired Presbyterian minister, who as Executive Director of Fund Raising throughout his son's political career tended to not only financial matters but the general campaign as well. Boxed in, usually, their original three-ring binders, these files include financial ledgers, press releases, correspondence, newsclippings, newsletters, position papers, volunteer kits (including buttons, bumper stickers, etc.), meeting agenda, polls, campaign staff lists, Political Action Committee (P.A.C.) materials, biographical materials, computerized mailing list information, Marge Roukema (1978 and 1980 Republican opponent) materials, Congressional Recordreprints, speeches, office equipment inventories, brochures, etc.

Although the CAMPAIGN FILES/Campaign Books are grouped by year of election, later Campaign Books contain earlier materials, particularly with regard to contributors and/or contributor prospects who remained supportive of Congressman Maguire throughout his career.
