EXHIBITS AND EVIDENCE

Scope and Contents

Included in this series are photocopies of trial documents numbered with "S" (state's numbers) and photographs used as exhibits. It is presumed that all this material was gathered as evidence, although some items do not carry "S" numbers.

Among the documents are copies of post cars from Dr. Hall to Mrs. Mills, letters and envelopes from Mrs. Hall to Willie Stevens, autopsy reports, and a diary of Dr. Hall. Also included are copies of envelopes which formerly contained clothing and artifacts which are no longer with the collection. This material was possibly used as evidence because of the "S" numbers (state's numbers) written on them.

Included among the photographs are images of the murder scene, Reverend Hall in vestal robes, a shack presumed to be that of Mrs. Gibson, a bedridden Mrs. Gibson in the courtroom, large photos of Reverend Hall and Mrs. Mills, a large photo of Mrs. Hall, etc.

Photocopies of typed labels that were used for an exhibition of the artifacts and clothing from the Hall-Mills case, presumably at the courthouse in Somerville.
