The New Jersey Collection includes a significant body of New Jersey cookbooks written and compiled by various local and regional groups active throughout the state during the twentieth century, with post-World War II publications constituting its most active area of development.
This collection contains 234 reel-to-reel tapes and sixty-three audiocassettes featuring concerts, live performances, WGBO radio programs, the annual Pee Wee Russell Memorial Stomp, and the New Jersey Jazz Society Jazz Festival.
The New Jersey Collection includes a significant body of postcards highlighting New Jersey’s rich history. Produced in and around New Jersey, these postcards feature famous landmarks, cityscapes, and popular vacation destinations.
The New Jersey Regional Zine Collection is composed of various zines, buttons, and stickers made by New Jerseyans and individuals in the tristate area from 2011-present. The collection attempts to document the resurgence and content of alternative media in Do-It-Yourself communities, minority communities, artistic communities, and feminist communities. The collection continues to grow through donations and purchases.
The collection includes menus from a variety of New Jersey restaurants, hotels, and banquet dinners. Many menus date from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, while other portions of the collection date from the 1980s to the present.
