Scope and Contents:
This collection includes photographs purchased or taken by Elizabeth Woosley between 1945 and the mid-1950s. The bulk of the photographs are publicity photos or pictures of live performances. Woosley purchased the photographs during the period they were taken. Most subjects depicted in each photograph are identified on its reverse side. A reformed minister and educator, Theodore Sandford Doolittle served as professor of Rhetoric, Logic, and Metaphysics at Rutgers College. This collection contains personal letters, articles, reviews, and ephemera related to Davison's life and career. There are also photographs, memorabilia, and an original metal case containing books of orchestral band parts. The oversized box houses newspapers and photocopies of newspaper articles. The are photographs of jazz bands and a trip to Japan, as well as, images of Davison and his wife Anne.
