This collection consists of a series of audiocassette interviews with jazz clarinetist Barney Bigard. Conducted by fellow musician Barry Martyn, these interviews formed the basis of Bigard’s posthumous autobiography, With Louis and the Duke, which Martyn edited. Interview topics range from Bigard’s life and prolific jazz career to Bigard’s perspectives on race and philosophy.
