This collection contains candid, performance, and professional photographs of European musicians. Some of the photographers, as well as many of the artists, have been identified.
This collection contains twelve audiocassettes of the radio documentary program on Coleman Hawkins.
Theatrical papers reflecting the career of actor Jerry Cunliffe, especially his work with director Tom O'Horgan and La Mama E.T.C. Materials represented include resumes, contracts, scripts, music, theatrical posters, programs, reviews, photographs and other papers.
This collection includes 272 metal vinyl molds, seventy-one open reel tapes, and four audio disks. The open reel tapes are primarily recordings of radio broadcasts by performers including Stan Kenton and Max Roach. The metal vinyl molds are mostly related to the activities of the Meritt Record Society (Valburn's record label) which was founded in 1979 and focused on reissues of early jazz releases.
This collection contains approximately twenty oversized photographic prints of Ornette Coleman, Dave Brubeck, Roy Haynes, and Keith Jarrett in their home studios. There are also portraits and candid photographs taken at various New York City venues of Wess Anderson, Tony Bennett, Ornette Coleman, Roy Haynes, Roy Hargrove, Keith Jarrett, Elvin Jones, B.B. King, Wynton Marsalis, Paul, Motian, David Murray, Sonny Rollins, Archie Shepp, Lonnie Smith, and Cassandra Wilson.
