Scope and Contents: Lubell 2/6: 41 Brown ink and wash drawing of an alien landscape. Most of the foreground is taken up by sweeping natural constructs, with a few jagged pieces (what appear to be broken tree trunks) near the bottom right corner. Watercolor is used as the coloring and shading, while loose ink lines – and in two cases, tentacle-like objects – break away from the rest of the piece. Scope and Contents: Lubell 2/6: 42 Ink drawing (with gouache) of a seed pod for an unknown plant. Outside of a dot pattern used for shading on the leaves, detail is fairly sparse. Some reddish orange is used for coloring, on both the flower of the pod and in a dot pattern right underneath. Art is very loose, with small, jagged edges and thinner, wavier lines. Signed Winifred Lubell. Piece was removed from matting and a photocopy of writing from the mat verso is included in the folder. ...

Graphite pencil drawing (with colored pencil) of a group of seed pods of the wisteria, with some seeds resting on the ground. Light pencil coloring (in green, bluish-grey, purple, and orange) for both the pods and their shadows give the subjects a subdued and softer look. Signed Winifred Lubell.
