The center of the piece is of a female totem, with horns and a head that appears similar to many African mask designs. Ink colors are brown, grey, yellow, blue. Pieces are arranged on brown paper. Signed...

The piece, organized on a bedding of [woven paper?] on an olive green board, has numerous vertical cuts, splitting what was presumably a single reproduction into multiple long rectangular pieces. Some other pieces, either from an unrelated image or a totally distinct part of the original, are placed on the left side haphazardly. Winifred Milius Lubell.

Scope and Contents: Lubell 1/4: 220 Collage of various sculpture pieces, in a milieu that seems to evoke both ancient Egypt and an archaic Mesopotamian civilization. Aside from the photographic cutouts – of a stone bust, a fertility figure or fetish idol, and the statue of a snake – and figural 2-dimensional art. The background is in a marbled, endpaper-style design in pinks and browns. Several papers with line patterns are included, cut in the shapes of pottery. The base material for the collage is...
